Literature Text

If I could be the smile that you hide
Whenever something's wrong inside
I'd trickle out in a minor key
In a soft, slow melody
I'd tickle at the lines across your face
As you turned from my embrace

And play across the corners of your lips
Until your every worry slips
Slips away
Away

If I could be that little breath you sigh
When you just can't bring yourself to cry
I'd waltz right out in major key
In a ringing harmony
I'd fill your lungs to the brim with bliss
As you refuse my reassuring kiss

And glow with laughter like the newborn day
Chasing your fears until they fade
Fade away
Away

This is pretty. I like the musical references you embed in this poem :) Good work.
